The <a href=\"\/?cat_ID=84\">bathroom<\/a>, like the kitchen, is part of those domestic environments defined as \u2018service\u2019. Functional space intended for personal and family hygiene has, however, over the last few decades, profoundly changed its hierarchical nature in the context of the home, becoming <strong>one of the places to which greater attention is paid in design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this is the case regardless of whether it is a large house or a mini apartment. The <a href=\"https:\/\/casaomnia.it\/categoria-prodotto\/bagno\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bathroom<\/a> is and wants to be an oasis of relaxation, not just a room to brush your teeth.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-luce-naturale\">NATURAL LIGHT<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What should you pay attention to before tackling a bathroom lighting project?  <\/strong>Definitely check if there is a window that provides natural light or, conversely, if you are struggling with a blind bathroom. There\u2019s a big difference.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Natural light<\/strong> is an important element to deal with. As is the <strong>position of the sanitary ware<\/strong> and, in particular, the <strong>washbasin<\/strong> <strong>area<\/strong>. If you are designing your bathroom from scratch, always remember to <strong>place the mirror and sink area next to the window<\/strong>, so that the light illuminates the top and the mirror in a grazing way <strong>without creating shadows<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certainly <strong>to be avoided, however, is the window positioned from behind<\/strong>. The coverings and furnishings. They perceptively soften the spaces and dampen the brightness of the environment. Similar attention should be paid to the <strong>choice of furniture<\/strong>. In small, dimly lit bathrooms, light tones and delicately textured surfaces are always preferable.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In larger bathrooms there is certainly greater freedom of expression<\/strong> in terms of the use of colour in furnishings and coverings in general. It is important to have an eye trained in taste and a sense of balance, avoiding too marked contrasts, which are difficult to manage in terms of good lighting.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, it should be remembered that <strong>light<\/strong> offers \u2018scenic solutions\u2019 of great value simply <strong>by playing with its positioning<\/strong>. The latter must have appropriate size to the context and, above all, should be <strong>placed only if in the presence of high ceilings<\/strong>. The chandelier, in fact, creates shadows and it is necessary to place it at a height that mitigates the effects.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the focal point of the bathroom is, and remains, the <strong>mirror\/washbasin area<\/strong>. This is where the daily activities of personal hygiene are concentrated. In the morning and at night before bedtime. In this context, <strong>the golden rule is to ensure even lighting without shadows <\/strong>. The first <strong>mistake to avoid<\/strong>, contrary to popular belief, is <strong>putting a lamp above the mirror<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This position creates annoying contrasts on the face, making it more difficult to apply makeup or shave safely.
