For this reason, we must think in terms of levels: general lighting, which properly illuminates the room, intermediate lighting, which is more subdued, and accent lighting, which has a decorative function.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-differenza-tra-loft-e-open-space\">DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOFT AND OPEN SPACE<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An <strong>open<\/strong> space, as the word itself says, is an &#8220;open space&#8221;, that is, an apartment or a house that <strong>differs from the traditional architectural style for being characterized by some rooms united and <\/strong>not divided by walls.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>loft<\/strong>, on the other hand, is a <strong>large space from which a private dwelling is obtained<\/strong>, characterized by the almost total absence of partition walls, ceilings with a higher height than normal buildings for residential use, around 4 or 5 meters in height, and higher and wider windows. The lofts are equipped with particularly comfortable and customized sanitary installations and the installations are often exposed and without finishing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the loft, therefore, the bricks, plaster, skirting boards and whatever else are neither finished nor decorated: this type of solution, which <strong>looks like a large studio apartment<\/strong>, is particularly suitable for a type of industrial style furniture.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/casaomnia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/applique-a-incasso-2402G-vele-collection-9010-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12119\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-come-illuminare-il-nostro-open-space\">HOW TO ILLUMINATE OUR OPEN SPACE?<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s get down to business! In order to <strong>light an open space<\/strong>, it is almost certainly necessary to set up <strong>multiple light points<\/strong> that can reach the entire living space. But what kind of lighting? Chandeliers? Spotlights? Ceiling lights? Applique? Let&#8217;s proceed in order&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WALL LAMPS<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As beautiful as they are, <strong>wall lamps<\/strong> may not be enough to light a loft to perfection! Their light would be focused only on the peripheral part of the room, leaving the central area in shadow. Wall sconces can be used, but more <strong>as indirect or supplemental light<\/strong> rather than background light.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PENDANT LAMPS<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A beautiful chandelier for an open space is a must, but only as a light fixture <strong>above the table<\/strong> or<strong> kitchen countertops<\/strong>! Absolutely avoid using two identical pendants above the table and in the living area: the second would certainly diminish the beauty and value of the first.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If, in addition to the dining table, your open-plan kitchen also has an <a href=\"https:\/\/casaomnia.it\/en\/blog\/modern-kitchen-with-integrated-table\/\">island<\/a>, <strong>peninsula<\/strong> or other <strong>worktops<\/strong>, you can install <strong>pendant lights<\/strong> in these latter spots as well.
