LAMINATED PARQUET: INTRODUCTION
Laminate flooring is now one of the most popular choices when renovating a home. Laminate manages to combine beauty, resistance and quality at an affordable price. Compared to the much more expensive parquet, laminate offers multiple design solutions. From planks to tiles, from faux parquet to mineral, and thanks to technological innovation, it presents itself as a durable, resistant, economical and extremely easy to clean product.
WHAT IS LAMINATED PARQUET?
Although today it is synonymous with resistance and quality, laminate flooring was born as an economical solution in the 90s. This was when we were looking for accessible solutions, alternatives to traditional products and suitable for the DIY world.
Laminate flooring has been proposed for thirty years as an alternative to wooden parquet, maintaining the economic advantages, but increasing the technical performance ones. Thanks to the success of laminate flooring, in fact, most manufacturers have committed to producing laminates with increasingly higher quality planks, with excellent technical and aesthetic characteristics.

ADVANTAGES
Laminate flooring has excellent properties in terms of resistance and durability over time. In fact, thanks to technology, modern laminate floors are highly resistant to wear, impacts and scratches.
It is precisely this resistance that ensures that the floor remains in excellent condition over time, despite foot traffic and wear. Furthermore, depending on your needs, you can choose between laminates of different resistance classes: to indicate the degree of resistance to abrasion, laminate floors are divided into 6 classes, from 1AC to the most resistant AC6.. The most resistant solutions are particularly suitable for public use or crowded places.
The advantages of laminate flooring don’t end there, but also include waterproofing and ease of installation. The planks, in most cases, are laid dry using special interlocking mechanisms, easily creating floating and continuous floors, without the need for further gluing, fixing or painting operations. Last but not least, laminate flooring requires little maintenance and, being stainless, there’s no need to worry about issues such as color changes or aging.

PRICES
Very often, cost is a particularly important factor when choosing a floor. Precisely for this reason, many people today choose laminate flooring, which costs less than, for example, wooden parquet.
The reason lies in the reduced labor costs, thanks to quick and easy installation, and in lower product prices, although there are high-end models that cost as much as traditional floors. The cost of the flooring, excluding labor, depends on the desired characteristics and the resistance classes.
Prices range from the cheapest products, around 5 euros per square meter, to much more expensive ones, reaching up to 50 euros per square meter. Prices can rise even further for top-of-the-line products with exceptional performance and durability.
